Now that your site is live, let's connect your Google Analytics account and Google Search Console. These are two simple steps that will let you see who's visiting your blog and make sure your website is talking to Google correctly. 

Google Search Console

  1. Create a Google Search Console account. If you bought a domain through Google Domains make sure to use the same email.
  2. Verify you own the domain through one of their methods. The easiest method is verifying through whoever you purchased the domain through.
  3. Submit a sitemap to Search Console so Google can index your site and see all your pages. You can copy the link directly from the SEO tab on your dashboard.

Google Analytics

  1. Create a Google Anatlyics account. If you bought a domain through Google Domains make sure to use the same email. Use the same email that you used for Search Console.
  2. Verify you own the domain through one of their methods. The easiest method is verifying through whoever you purchased the domain through. You can also connect your Search Console account to verify.
  3. Authorize Google Analytics on your site from your website's dashboard. This will automatically add your tracking code to your site and add the analytics stats to your dashboard.
